The national award- winning Katherine Outback Experience is owned by Australian Country Music star, Tom Curtain, and celebrates the Northern Territory’s unique farming history and culture through real horse-starting and working dog demonstrations. The outback show provides an exclusive ‘behind the scenes’ experience like no other.
The Stockman’s Workshop
Have you ever wondered what life as a stockman or stockwoman working on a remote cattle station entails? Or how wild horses are tamed and working dogs trained to roundup cattle?
Katherine Outback Experience is now offering exclusive behind the scenes Stockman’s Workshops where guests get a hands-on experience of what it takes to be a stockman or stockwoman on an Australian cattle station.

Farm Therapy
Farm Therapy provides a safe and supportive environment where individuals can develop emotional awareness, teamwork skills, and resilience. Through guided sessions with experienced handlers, participants gain a deeper understanding of animal behaviour, farm responsibilities, and the therapeutic benefits of working with animals in a structured and meaningful way.
