Acres of Ra

Tom and Acreas of Ra working a beast whilst playing guitar and singing during a show

‘Acres of Ra’ aka ‘Ra’ is our resident stallion and quite popular with the mares! Ra loves food, pats from visitors and campdrafting. He’s been very successful winning numerous ‘Top Cut Outs’ and Campdraft events.

He shot to internet fame in 2015 after a video of him working a steer (male bullock) without a bridle, whilst Tom sat on his back playing guitar and singing Paul Kelly’s ‘To Her Door” went viral.

His progeny are now performing in Katherine Outback Experience shows and have started performing in the Campdraft arena.

Ra is a registered Quarter Horse stallion. Ra is exceptionally well bred – Sire: Acres Destiny x Dam: Sunshine Princess Doc. Contact us for further information about the service fee.

Legend

Legend by name, Legend by nature. Legend has played a key role at Katherine Outback Experience from its inception. Not quite making the cut as a competitive campdraft horse, Legend has become our liberty trick horse from rolling out a swag to pushing a pram – there’s not much this fella can’t do!

Bailey was given to Tom by a mate after becoming difficult to handle. Following eight months of Tom working closely with Bailey, Bailey has made some astounding progress. Bailey has since gone on to win and place at a number of campdrafts. He has also stepped up to play a vital role in the show which involves Tom controlling him solely through leg aids, without a bridle or reins. We are very excited by Baileys progress and by what the future holds!
